Tieg Selberg
Dr. Tieg Selberg is a native of Kansas City. He earned his degree in biology from the University of North Carolina Asheville. After a career in sales, he took the leap to pursue his dream of dentistry, graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Tieg was very active in dental school, participating in outreach programs and a dental mission to Guatemala. He was also the recipient of the “Quality Care in a Caring Manner” award for his graduating class. Dr. Tieg completed his one-year general practice residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN, and then a two-year pediatric dental residency through the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Tieg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Illinois State Dental Society and he serves on the Madison County District Dental Society board. Dr. Tieg is on staff at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois.
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Tieg wants each visit to the office to be fun and educational for both patients and parents — the end goal being preventative dentistry. Dr. Tieg and his wife have three kids that attend District 7 schools. Your child may meet him in their classroom during one of his days volunteering, giving dental health talks to local schoolchildren. When he is not working on little teeth, Dr. Tieg can be found on the sidelines of his children’s sporting events or wrestling with his two dogs. He also enjoys running, canoeing, listening to music and playing soccer.
