Dental Care You Can Trust
Little teeth, big smile
At Associated Pediatric Dentistry (APD), children are our specialty. As pediatric dentists, our doctors have spent extra years in specialized dentistry training to be able to provide quality care to our young patients.
We offer a variety of services to ensure that your child receives the best dental care available in a fun and safe environment. We know that going to the dentist can cause anxiety for both children and their parents, which is why our entire staff is trained to help everyone feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. You may even hear us using unique words like “sleepy juice” for anesthesia, “happy air” for nitrous oxide or “wiggles” for extractions.Preventive Care
Preventive care is the cornerstone of good oral health – and keeping teeth healthy is one of the best things you can do for overall health. We use routine dental cleanings as an opportunity to educate our young patients on proper hygiene techniques.
Routine Cleaning
Most kids should be seen for a dental cleaning and routine exam every six months or as recommended by your child’s dentist. During the cleaning, plaque and calculus (calcified plaque) will be removed from the teeth leaving behind a bright and polished smile.
Digital X-rays
X-rays (radiographs) are one of the most valuable tools a dentist has for diagnosing problems in the teeth and jaws. X-rays are used in children to monitor tooth growth and development as well as decay.
Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride treatment for children’s teeth is a great tool used to help prevent tooth decay by as much as 70 percent. It’s naturally occurring in different amounts in almost all food and water supplies.
Dental Sealants
Fillings
To treat a cavity, a dentist will remove the decayed portion of a tooth and fill the area with a filling. Fillings can also be used to repair cracked or broken teeth.
Extractions
Extractions are performed when removing a tooth is the best option for restoring the health of the child’s mouth.
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous Oxide (commonly known as laughing gas) may be recommended to assist a child through a restorative appointment.
General Anesthesia

Dr. Kevin and the staff are very friendly and know how to help children even if they have special needs/ diagnoses and issues. Thanks to them my child has actually been able to get past his sensory issues with going to the dentist.

Best dentist I have ever taken my kids to. All the staff are great and made my very scared daughter feel comfortable. No other dentist could get anything done with her, but they were great and got a tooth pulled.

Great dentist for kids! Both of my kids have been patients since age 1, and we have seen a variety of dentists in the office. All have been fabulous. The hygienists, dental assistants, and office staff are also wonderful. Highly recommend!

I have been bringing my children to this practice for many years now. Two of my children have significant special needs. Taking them to the dentist can be challenging due to their needs and also their anxiety towards the visit. The staff at this office is unbelievably accommodating and compassionate and supportive towards our family. They help to make our visit as pleasant as possible.

Dr. Rice and the assistant were absolutely amazing with my daughter. She was so nervous and they explained everything to her before starting. They made sure she was always comfortable throughout the procedure and she is all smiles now!

Amazing staff! Treats special needs with care and concern. Would recommend to anyone searching for a dentist that makes your child not dread the dentist.

My kiddo broke off both of her permanent front teeth at school, and APD worked her in immediately. LaTonya and Dr. Tieg were both immensely patient and kind, took their time to do a great job/give a great result, answered all of our questions, and never made us feel like a burden (even though they had other appointments they were navigating between). I was so impressed with both of them and am so thankful we found APD last year.

We were referred by our family dentist since my little one was far too little for him. Dr. Mara and her staff did amazing at listening to our concerns, answering all our questions, and performing the procedure we needed done! I highly recommend bringing your little people to associated pediatric dentistry!
